Tachograph Data Manager runs on Telia’s for Smart Public Transport platform. A Telia IoT Edge gateway (MIIPS C) is installed in the vehicle. The unit communicates with the tachograph – that has activated remote download. The unit sends the data at regular intervals to Telia’s cloud-based platform via the mobile network. Information is stored for 12 months by default.

The driver data is sent according to set intervals – while the driver is driving. For better control over collected data, you can access the data files via the Tachograph Data Manager portal. There you can see the date when the file was created and when the unit last reported files.

If you have an account registered with an analysis service, you can easily monitor the status of the upload from the server solution. You can then verify that data has been uploaded properly, and see the time of the finished upload. You can also download files locally to your computer through the portal. Search for the desired file and download it. During the search, you can select intervals of days, weeks or months, or set your own intervals. The tool shows you which files were downloaded when.
