This means it can support low data sensors that can operate for 10 years on a single battery. LPWA connectivity also reaches further. It penetrates deeper into buildings and underground than has been possible before. When you multiply this by the reach of Telia's cellular network – the largest in the Nordics and Baltics – you can connect value in places it has never been possible before.

Cellular Low Power Wide Area connectivity is the first generation of connectivity designed specifically for IoT. It comes in two types: NB-IoT for low-data requirements and ultra-long battery life. LTE-M for higher data and responsiveness for things like mobility, video & voice.
