Telia at global transport event: “This will contribute to more sustainable cities”

Bus2Bus is a trade show for the bus industry, based in Germany. But during 2022 the organization is on a combined face-to-face and digital tour through Europe. Last week it was time for the Nordic countries to join the roadshow, as well as a as a discussion panel consisting of public transport experts from Norway, Finland and Sweden. The main topics included the effects of the pandemic, and sustainability for public transport. The Nordic countries are early adopters when it comes to implementing new transport infrastructure solutions, but more can be done in terms of awareness.

“Not everyone knows that Telia's solutions are onboard public transport vehicles throughout the Nordic region, and that the solutions are used to collect data, send information to drivers, operators and commuters to lower costs, increase sustainability and safety as well as to create a more conformable ride for the passengers," says Frida Christensson, Business Development Manager at Telia. "It also enables the development of better ticketing systems which in turn enable public transport to become more attractive and easier to use. In addition to the connected solutions, our Crowd Insight services also helps Public Transport Authorities to better understand how people move. Participating at Bus2Bus has led to new contacts, which is important when Telia together with our partners aim to drive digitalization and making cities more sustainable,” she says.
